Hi, my name is Cassidy! I'm a small standard-sized American Eskimo boy who is approximately 9 months old. I stand about 15 inches tall and weigh 20 pounds. When I was turned in to the shelter I had a broken back leg and had to have a cast on it for a couple months. The cast was recently removed (actually I chewed it off!), and now I'm starting to put my weight back on the leg and am learning to get around again without the nuisance of that darn cast. I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. My foster mommy is working with me on getting me housebroken (having my leg in a cast has made that a more difficult task), but if I'm taken outside I know just what to do! I am crate-trained, which is a good place for me to be when you're not home, so I won't get into things I'm not supposed to. I get along very well with other dogs and love to run and chase my foster mommy's dog-what fun! I also do well with cats, and I like to try to play with them as well (okay, chase them HeHe!). I really like my foster mommy's teenaged kids, and I'm so sweet and playful that I'd probably do well with younger children too. In fact I love to be around people, and I follow my foster mommy all around the house! I sometimes play ball, but only when I feel like it. I'm a smart little guy who will come when I'm called and will try to listen to you and obey you. I know the "sit" and "down" commands, and we're working on "stay." I'm not much of a barker but I AM still a puppy and will still do puppy things, like chewing on things that maybe I'm not supposed to! :o( I'm a very sweet and happy boy and I love EVERYONE!!! Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? You can see how handsome I am! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you!
