Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Raggedy Ann! I came into rescue with my brother Raggedy Andy, who has already been adopted, and now it's my turn. I'm a 3-year toy American Eskimo female who stands 12-1/2 inches high and weighs a whopping 14 pounds! Don't let the name Raggedy Ann fool you; I was named that because I look like a little doll baby! I'm sorry my pictures aren't very good, but I'm very camera shy. But I can promise you that I'm a very pretty girl indeed! I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, as well as on flea and tick prevention. I'm housebroken, though sometimes I get so excited when I see new people or am about to go outside that I might tinkle a bit. I walk really well on a leash, and I also like to ride in the car with you! I love people and children but don't like to share them! I'm good with other dogs (as long as they don't try to steal my humans!). We don't know about cats because my foster mommy doesn't have any. I'm a VERY sweet and lovable girl who just loves to be with you all of the time-especially in your lap! I like getting lots of petting and belly rubs, playing with my toys, and going for long walks in the evening. Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? My foster mommy says someone is going to scoop me up very quickly because I'm a toy. Ohhh, THAT must be why I'm so much fun! :o) I can't wait to be in my new forever home so I can be spoiled like a little princess! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Monticello, IN with my foster mommy, Gayla. For more information on me, please contact Wanda at: wanda@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Raggedy Ann!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
