Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Princess Darla is a 2 year old albino American Eskimo. She has sky blue eyes and very striking looks. Although deaf, she is an extremely smart girl who is quick to learn and VERY willing to please.
On the leash she has a very proud carriage as if she were going to the dog show. Approximately 2 years old Weighs 25 pounds Up to date on vaccinations Fenced yard required as with any hearing or sight impaired dog Very friendly and playful with other dogs Best placed in an adult only home or if children are over 12 years old. Experienced American Eskimo owner preferred, willing to work with a hearing-impaired dog. If you're interested in her and would like more information, please contact Judy: judy@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where she's being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. She's in Mooresville, NC with her foster mom, Judy. To get her to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If she's not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on her, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get her to you safely (for example, flying her to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive her to you). There is a $150 adoption fee for her, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF!
