Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Cecil! I'm a 3-year old miniature-sized American Eskimo male who weighs about 20 pounds. I know the picture of me here isn't very good, but I've been told that I'm very good-looking--and just as sweet! {BLUSH}
I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm treatment. I didn't get the best of care in my previous life, but now those nice people at Eskie Rescuers United are taking such good care of me. Still though, I really want to go to my very own forever home! I'm housebroken and crate-trained, and I get along extremely well with other dogs (and I seem to get along with those funny cat critters too!). I'm also good with people, including children, as long as they're not too unruly or rambunctious--I AM a pretty small guy, after all! It's important that my new home has a fenced-in yard so I can explore every corner, but you won't have to worry about losing me! My foster mommy says I'm very smart and willing to learn and to obey. She also says I'm an excellent dog who is very loving, and that someone is going to get a real catch when they adopt me--will that be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life, and let me become your very own perfect little boy? If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: judy@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). I'm in Mooresville, NC with my foster mommy, Judy. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance. If I'm not local to you (as defined above) and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements or pay a transport fee so ERU can get me to you safely. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Cecil!
