WHERE I'M BEING FOSTERED: Mt. Airy, NC

Hi, my name is Kayko! Not so long ago I had my very own home where I was loved and pampered very much. Unfortunately my owner passed away, and I was just dropped off at the local shelter. What a comedown!

Besides being beautiful, I'm very smart and loyal. I'm quick to learn new things, and I'm so willing to please. Because I was an only pet in my previous home, I never learned to share my affections with other pets or human kids. Therefore, I would do best as the sole pet in my new home, and without children, please (I'm just not used to the quick movements and tiny hands of small children).

So if you are looking for an adoring companion who will give you lots of love and affection, your hunt is over! Here I am, just waiting for you to adopt me and shower me with attention. I promise you, you'll be glad you did!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Judy at: judy@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee for me, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Kayko
