Woof...woof...woof...My name is Pi. You know, like Pi x Radius = 3.14159. I bet you are really impressed, huh?! Well, read on.
Intelligent? I'm heartworm negative and on Heartgard, so I can stay that way. Smart? I also use Frontline to control ticks and fleas. And I'm crate-trained and housebroken...a super genius! HeeHee! Now wait til you hear this...I'm only 2 years old! Whoopee! I'm still a pup! HURRAH! I love to play ball and chase grasshoppers...I love to play...I love to run...I love to run and bark (a real multi-tasker!). I love to be petted...I love snacks...I love to be around my people! There isn't much in life I DON'T love to do. My foster mom says I'm a silly little fella, but in a good way! (She says actually I'm very sweet. What a great home to be in! TeeHee!) I love children, and I get along well with other dogs. (Sometimes my foster family calls me Sweetie "Pi" or Cream "Pi," but please don't let that get around...you know how other dogs talk!) But I DON'T like to take this thing people call a BATH!! I rolled in some fresh cow piles the other day and my foster mom gave me a BATH. Whew! I thought getting cleaned up would never end. But when I finally survived the ordeal, I came out looking really handsome. Don't just take my word for it--look at my pictures and see if you don't agree! I have quite a beautiful tail plume--I'm actually rather proud of it! ;o) My coat is a little sparse right now, but that's probably due to a poor diet before getting into foster care. My foster mom says I'm skin and bones and need to add a few pounds. My coat will undoubtedly improve as I continue getting a proper diet. Who knew my supper would be served to me every night, and I wouldn't have to scavenge for food any more? What a life! Food, fun, and...(yuck) baths! All I need now is someone who will love me forever! I'm waiting for...YOU! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Bill: bill@eskierescuers.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy, Jane, directly at: matt7731@bellsouth.net. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Jefferson City, TN with my foster mommy and daddy, Jane and Tony. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). There is a $150 adoption fee for me, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Love and Eskie kisses!
