About Chelsee!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-043
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Chelsee! I'm a very sweet small standard-sized American Eskimo female, about 2 to 2-1/2 years old and weighing approximately 25 pounds. When I was rescued, I had 2 babies with me, so my coat isn't in the best shape. You see, Eskie mommies usually lose a lot of hair when we have young'uns, but don't you worry. Come this fall and winter, I will have the prettiest coat of fur! And you know what they say: pretty is as pretty does-and I have just the personality to prove that adage true!

I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm housebroken and know how to use a doggy door to go potty outside! I've learned how to walk on a leash, and because I'm so smart I'm sure I'll impress you with how quickly I learn new commands! :o)

I love my Eskie foster brothers and sisters, and I'm good with cats too. I have a very easy-going personality, so I get along with everyone. I just adore everyone I meet-and they adore me too! I would be great with kids, and though we're not sure about infants or toddlers (my foster mommy doesn't have any), she doesn't think it would be a big deal, because of my sweet nature.

I just love peanut butter, and I enjoy being brushed and fussed over. And oh, those belly rubs!!! All us Eskies love those! I'm a real sweetheart and a very nice little lady, and I'm eagerly waiting for my very own forever family to love! Will that be you? Won't you give me a chance at a wonderful new life with you? I promise I will be your new best friend and always be there for you! I just want to be loved and pampered. Is that too much to ask?!

If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Columbus, MS with my foster mommy, Debbie.

For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: debbien@eskierescuersunited.org.

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
