About Gracee

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-086
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hello, all! Full of grace, pretty face--that's why my foster mom named me Gracee! I'm a precious 3-year old American Eskimo female who weighs in at about 25 pounds. I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I don't have any fleas, ticks, potato bugs, June bugs or any other bugs (Heheh!...just making sure I have your attention! I have a sense of humor, you know!)

My foster mom is now going to tell you all about me, because I'm just too shy to bark about myself. So here's Jane...

Gracee is a wonderful little girl! She has the cutest face and such dainty manners. She lives to be loved and is so full of affection and love she just glows! Her big brown eyes and sunny disposition will melt your heart, and once you've touched her soft, soft coat and rubbed her little pink belly, you'll be hooked! You'll be a Gracee addict!

Gracee is totally housebroken and walks well on a leash (she doesn't pull or lunge). She is crate-trained but really doesn't need a crate. She enjoys riding in the car (and usually sleeps most of the ride). She loves to play with squeaky toys that are broken...basically SILENT squeaky toys. Baths aren't a problem for her, and she likes to eat all kinds of food--she's not picky at all.

Gracee has a blind foster sister with only three legs, and she has taken it upon herself to teach Ms. Magoo all kinds of useful stuff, such as where the best cow manure piles are, how to dig a hole with only three legs, how to sit and wait for a dropped morsel of food, and how to run and play just like a regular dog! Gracee is amazing in her interaction with Ms. Magoo!

Gracee gets along well with all her foster brothers and sisters. She enjoys going outside and running around the yard and playing chase with them. She likes cats too...she chases them and generally creates chaos in the cat kingdom, so it's probably not a real good idea to combine cats with Gracee. Gracee doesn't mind children, but she does expect them to be gentle and kind to her. She loves being able to sit with her humans and watch TV with them, and she'll lie in your arms for hours if you keep on petting her!

So if you're looking for a special addition to your family, look no further. Gracee is ready for her forever family!! Are you ready for Gracee?

Okay, this is Gracee talking again. Did you read what my foster mom says about me? Just in case she still hasn't convinced you, just take a look at my pictures...pink is my color, don't you think? Do you see the picture with my paw on that cat pillow? Sneaky...I'll make people think I really do LOVE cats...HeHeHe! Then there is that picture of me with that stupid obedience training book. What could they be thinking? I can't read (well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! HaHa!) C'mon, everybody, fill out an adoption application for me today!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Allen at: allen@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: jane@eskierescuersunited.org. Better yet, you can go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Jefferson City, TN with my foster mommy, Jane.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie hugs and kisses!
