Hi, my name is Nicholas, but you can call me Nickey! I?m a 2-year old miniature-sized American Eskimo male who weighs 20 pounds. My foster mommy thinks that if I were in Hollywood, I would be the Clark Gable of the Eskie world, because I?m SO handsome! She says my pictures don?t do me justice, with my BIG brown eyes, my soft fur coat and my cute black-as-coal Eskie nose! I?m neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I?m housebroken and crate-trained, and I ride well in the car (as long as I haven?t eaten!). I like to ride on the console so I can rest my head on your leg and be close to you. I love to go for walks, but I?m not ?leash-broken? yet (it?s more like I break leashes and collars instead, because I tend to pull when I walk). My foster mommy is working with me to help me learn my manners when I?m out for my strolls, but I could stand a little obedience training after you adopt me (that really helps us bond even better). I get along with other dogs just fine, though one of my foster sisters doesn?t seem to like me (I don?t think she likes ANYbody! HeeHee!). I like cats, but I also like to chase them, even though I?m not trying to hurt them. You see, I just love to PLAY. My foster mommy says I?d rather play than eat! I love to run and jump and even play in the water. We went to the dog park the other day and I went right in the pond. I even like to play in the mud?guess I?m just your typical boy! I?m getting used to getting baths, though I didn?t like them at first?I made sure my foster mommy got just as wet as I did! I do okay on the brushing part, though. I?m a very sweet guy who likes children and is friendly with strangers. I?m very affectionate and just love to snuggle up next to you. I will sit in your lap and let you rub my belly until I fall asleep, and I will sleep with you in bed if you let me. I will eat just about anything, and when I see food or treats I?ll stand straight up and beg! Don?t you think that?s cute? :o) And when I sit, I mostly flop over! My foster mommy says I?m a total lover and a true sweetheart. But be warned, because once you meet me I?ll charm myself right into your heart with those sweet nothings I slobber into your ear! I'm a real beauty, so wouldn't you love to adopt me and show me off to all your friends and neighbors? I?m waiting as patiently as I can for my new forever family?will that be you? I sure hope so! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: bablinidiut@aol.com. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me. There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I?m being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in McMinnville, TN with my foster mommy, Beth. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I?m not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Nicholas!
