My name is TATER... pretty unusual huh? I come from Tater Holler, Tennessee. Really! In Tennessee you have mountains or hollers (a holler is a low place between the mountains). So when I came into rescue, what better a name than Tater for a pretty white dog like me from Tater Hollow, TN. My foster family has nicknames for me like - "Tater Head" or "Sweet Tater" -- they call me these names because I am such a sweetie pie and cute to boot! I'm pretty small and very submissive but I do have a playful nature. I get down on my front paws and whine and bark and seem like I'm saying, "hey it's me down here... TATER... look at me." I play with the smaller Eskies in my foster family but don't much care for the bigger guys--they sort of scare me. I don't demand attention, but if you can resist giving it to me that would certainly be a surprise. When you look at my sweet little face you just naturally want to take care of me and spoil me. I was left in some one's back yard after they moved away and some nice people found me and called ERU. I deserve better than that! Anyway after coming into rescue and putting some meat back on my bones, I'm on my way to have heartworm treatment. I don't like the thought of this, but it needs to be done. After that I'm up for grabs....better hurry, though! Taters don't last long! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact my foster mommy Jane at: matt7731@bellsouth.net. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Love you already, forever family! and#9829;Sweet Taterand#9829;
