Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Parquer! I'm a standard-sized American Eskimo boy who is about 3 years old and weighs 35 pounds. Don't you think I look very handsome indeed? And I have a beautifully thick coat of fur to keep me warm this winter (and you too, if you want to snuggle up next to me some cold night!). I look kind of sad in these pictures, because I don't have a forever home and loving family to adopt me yet. :o( I'm neutered and current on all my shots. I'm also housebroken and walk great on a leash. I get along great with other dogs, but it would probably be better if I were an only pet. (We're not sure yet how I'd be with cats, as my foster home doesn't have any.) I like being around adults and older children, but I don't do so well with small kids or older folks. I need a family who will train me and take me to obedience classes, because my former owners apparently never took the time to train and socialize me properly. You should be familiar with the Eskie breed and just keep a firm upper hand with me, that's all. :o) Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? As you can see I'm really quite a handsome guy!!! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you (I'm in Chehalis, WA). This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org for more information on me! You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Parquer!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
