*** New Brighton, PA***

Hi!

My name is Pickles!  I got my name because I was in quite a pickle at the shelter.  You see, I was really, really scared and wouldn't let any of the shelter workers handle me.  I just wanted to hide under my bed all the time!  Luckily a nice lady from ERU came to see me and got me out of there!

I'm small enough to be considered a toy eskie.  I'm really young as well and have a TON of puppy energy.  Foster Mom says I need a home that will give me lots of things to do so I won't get in trouble.  I bet taking a puppy class or two would be really fun!  Also, I need to let you know that I'm not housetrained yet but I'm working on it.

I haven't been to the vet yet and I guess I need to do that before I go to a new home.  I'm told that once I've gone to the vet I can go out to dog parks to help me get socialized!  I think that will be fun!

I'm kind of scared of strangers.  I prefer for new people to just ignore me and let me come to them.  I get spooked if someone I don't know reaches out to me and may nip.  It's probably best if I don't go to a home with small children.  Older children who understand good doggie manners would be great though!  Foster Mom says that since I'm so young, it shouldn't be too hard to help me get over my fears with the right socialization.

I'm pretty new to rescue but I'm so cute that I don't think I'll be here for long!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Cheryl: cherilynn@petrochko.com. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process.

Thank you and WOOF! PICKLES

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
