My name is River and I'm a little happy-go-lucky eskie mix boy who needs a loving home. My association with ERU began when I was discovered, weighing only 8 pounds, abused and starved in a shelter in GA. Several very caring and generous folks made possible my journey to my foster mommy in MD. They bought me my very own crate, so I'd feel safe, tucked me in with a binkie, and drove me to Maryland. I now weigh a lean and healthy 19 pounds and am scheduled to be neutered this week. I stand about 16 inches tall at the shoulder (at least that's the best measurement mom could get since I wanted to eat the measuring tape!) and have a short coat. I have lovely brown, almond-shaped, eskie eyes. Foster mom is planning to post more photos that show just how handsome I am. I'm only just a puppy at 6 months of age but am crate and house trained. I'm very alert and intelligent and eager to please my people. I'm an active fellow, full of the usual puppy-shenanigans. I'd be a great candidate for obedience school or a partner on walks, jogs and lots of other fun family activities. I'd love a home with another doggie to play with — even better would be a couple of kids to play with! My foster mommy says I'm one of the sweetest eskies she's fostered and that it won't be long before I get a home - I'm keeping my paws crossed! More about RiverGood with Dogs, Good with Cats Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. |
