Update from new foster mom on 10/17/08******************* Frisky is adorable. She loves to snuggle and she always wants to be near you. Her crate is her home, whenever she gets bored, tired or scared (vacuum, loud noise) she goes right in there. I leave the door open and she comes and goes. At bedtime we close the door. She is fine with it. She doesn't walk that well on the leash, she tries to pull and she is strong. However, she likes to be outside and go on walks. She always wants to be outside. I would suggest that she be placed in a home with a large yard and fence. She gets along with other dogs but can be the dominant type. The only time she is really high energy is when I first come home from work she jumps on me constantly (that is something we are trying to break her from) once she settles down she is a pleasure. When you pick up the leash and she knows that she is going outside she stands on her hind legs and scratches the door (100 miles a minute) (something else we are working on). Aside from those two issues she is happy go lucky. She also is still being house trained, getting better but she does have accidents. ************************************************************** Hi everyone my name is Frisky and I am being fostered in New Jersey. I am a 7 years old female. I am in need of a new home really bad. See my masters got divorce now nobody wants me. Gee I wonder if there were children involved if they would end up in an orphanage? Oh well I am sure someone would love to have a beautiful girl like me. There will be more info and pictures coming. I am just coming into rescue. As soon as my foster home has more info they will let you know. in the mean time go ahead and get your application in since I wont be around long. ******************************* Update 8/13/08 ******************************* update on Frisky. I went to do an eval on her tonight. It broke my heart to leave her behind. What a super sweet dog. I cant believe she is that sweet and living in a kennel outside all the time. I can only imagine what she would be like if she lived in a house around humans. Here are her issues... she likes to jump up on people. Simple obedience class would take care of that. She is high energy. Although if she was not kept in a kennel all the time she might not be so high energy. She did calm down after she was out of the kennel for a while. She does have a small tumor above her eye that will need to be watched. She is also need a dental soon. She will probably have to be shaved as she is solid matts to the skin underneath Other than that she is wonderful. What a really great dog. I do not know how she is around children, although I cant imagine it being a problem. Also she is not housebroken since she has always lived outside. ****************************************update 8/20/08************************* I had Frisky to the vets tonight to be heartworm tested. She is negative for both heartworm and Lyme. She has a small non-cancerous tumor above her eye which will be removed. She will also be getting a dental done in the next few weeks. She will be ready to go to her new home after that. put your application in early because she is a sweetie and wont be around long. ************************************************************** If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact basmith74@gmail.com.
