Hi, AJ here!
I'm a super friendly and very sociable ten year old boy, looking for a new forever home. I am in excellent health, neutered, and up to date on all my vetting and preventatives. I'm a bit on the stocky side right now, but mommy has me eating lighter, healthy meals, so I will soon be back to my previous trim self. You might think ten years old makes me an old senior dog with one foot in the grave, but you'd be very wrong! I am active, enjoy playing and love to go on walks. American Eskimos have a life span of 15 to 17 years, so I have plenty of good years left in me. I love everyone! I am excellent around strangers and always welcome a nice petting by any admirers on the street or visitors to the home. I am very friendly and curious, and love car rides and going places. In the home, I want very much to be your companion, and like to either sit with you or be near you all the time. I am not aggressive around other dogs - after a few barks I always make new friends - and I pretty much ignore cats, because they just slink around. I like kids, but prefer those that are a little older who understand/respect a dog's boundaries, especially those of an older dog. I must admit, I am afraid of toddlers, especially when they grab my paws or try to kiss my face. I met some new people the other day who told my mommy "whoever adopts AJ will be one very lucky person or family, because he is awesome, just WONDERFUL". I am friendly, well mannered and gentle, and I would be a wonderful companion for someone who likes walks and afternoon naps and who wants to be home with me, so we can enjoy life together. I sure hope you will consider adopting me, and ask my mommy to call you. That would be so pawsome. xoxxoo
