May 15 UPDATE - ADOPTION PENDING

Meet Kaiser!

Kaiser is a courtesy post for his owner, who sadly has to find a new forever home for him.

Kaiser is a happy-go-lucky, typical, standard Eskie puppy. He is a healthy 1 year old, neutered, and up to date on all his vetting, vaccines and preventatives (Trifexis).  He weighs about 22#.  Kaiser is "almost" house trained.  He does real well most of the time, but when he gets excited, he does still have accidents.  He will need a patient new owner that can work with him on this, and complete his training to a successful conclusion.

As a young pup, Kaiser is ACTIVE and likes to play all of the time.  He is high energy.  He would do best with a fenced in back yard, or an owner/family that is active and willing to give him the daily exercise he needs.  Lots of walks/runs, ball tossing, and dog parks are needed for this ball of white fluff.  If you are a couch potato, he's not the dog for you!

His owner says Kaiser loves everyone and everybody loves Kaiser.  He gets along with all people and kids, though he might be a little too rambunctious around small children.

As a breed, the American Eskimo is an affectionate, loving dog. Hardy and playful, they are excellent with children if trained and socialized at a young age.  Charming and alert, and because of the dog's high intelligence and its willingness to please, it is generally easy to train. American Eskimos like to work. They are naturally wary of strangers, but once introduced they become instant friends. Eskimos need to be part of the family with a firm, consistent, confident pack leader. Without enough mental and physical exercise, they can become hyperactive, high strung, or destructive.  They do require regular brushing and grooming, shed, and typically "blow" their coats twice a year.

If you think you are the perfect active person or family for Kaiser, please complete an adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org.  If you are not familiar with the breed, please research it first, as American Eskimo dogs are not for everyone.  Please direct any specific questions about Kaiser to dyan@eskierescuers.org.

Kaiser is located in Longwood, FL 32779, outside of Orlando.  His adoption fee is $150.
