Hi my name is Kashew and I am a very active young lady. I can jump almost as tall as my Foster Mom. I do not jump fences though but when it is time to go for my walk I jump almost as tall as the door is.

I came to rescue with a very brittle thin coat but it is starting to grow back in and is becoming soft as well. I also have a smile on my face and light in my eyes that show I am now a happy girl.

I started out afraid of the smallest movement...even the light being turned on would make me wince!

I love people..although I am super shy and cautious at first and soooo hoping to find someone who just wants to love and pet on me all day. I will sit in your lap and it is not to hard on you as I only weigh 15 lbs.

I love walks and am completely housetrained. Even with all the stress I have been under lately I have not messed in the house.

I am all up to date on my shots and have been spayed. I have a very loud warning bark and do not do well with other dogs. When we go for a walk I bark wildly at other dogs and people. My foster mom has not been able to get me to stop that.

I have been introduced to her other dogs but am not very comfortable around them an try to stay away from them when we are in the yard together.

I was caught playing a little with Hero the other day.

I did not like toys at first either, especially squeaky toys. I now chase a small tennis ball and will wait for it to stop before I pick it up and bring it back for it to be tossed again. It squeaks too and I will drop it right away because I think I am hurting it.

Do you have a bunch of love you would like to give me?

If you have a place in your heart or home for a wonderful loving girl please contact my foster mom

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
