Sampson is an adorable senior who came to ERU when the shelter where he had been depositied because he was "too old," reached out to rescue. Based on the available records, he had been largely neglected over the last 2-3 yrs. As a result, flea allergies and thyroid condition caused him to lose most of his coat, and he was not receiving treatment for his cardiac issues.
Presently, he is settling in nicely to his foster home. He follows his foster mom from room to room, loves to settle into his doggie beds, and lets her know when it is time for snuggles. Sampson is exuberant about his meals and daily walks with his sister. And, he loves playing like a silly puppy while getting tummy rubs. We will be monitoring his cardiac status and hoping that thyroid meds will help him grow back his coat. He would be ever so appreciative of your sponsorship. Update: Sampson had a cardiac ultrasound and was found to not need cardiac meds. He will be re-checked in 6 months. Paws crossed that all remains the same.
