Max is a handsome, very high energy little boy. The shelter estimated him to be about 3 years old, but his foster says he acts like a puppy and thinks he is younger. Did we say he is very high energy? If you're not paying enough attention to Max, or if he is excited to see you, he will jump straight up in the air 3 or 4 feet! He is fine with other dogs, but has not been tested around kids or cats yet. True to the breed, Max likes to be with his humans and be part of the family. He likes attention. He does have some separation anxiety when left alone and/or confined. He is very energetic, and will either need a fenced yard (preferably 6' high) or an active owner committed to giving him the daily exercise, play and attention he requires. Max is currently in a home with a dog door and fenced in back yard, and this allows him the freedom to run and play at will. He also has another dog in his foster home that he plays with and he enjoys this very much. Please do not consider adopting Max if you work and think he will be happy left alone for 8+ hours per day, without alternatives to keep him occupied and happy while you are gone. Max is being fostered in Kissimmee, FL. If you have any questions about him, please email dyan@eskierescuers.org. If you are interested in adopting Max, please complete our online adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org.
