Elvis was a stray, so we don't know his past. But since he's the type that hangs close to you, I'm guessing someone dumped him. He's certainly not a run away kind of boy. He was named Elvis at the shelter. But we call him Squirt most of the time or Joey, as he reminds us of Joe Dirt. He was abandoned like Joe, and had scraggly blonde hair, but now has a beautiful coat. He has that sweet, trusting personality that Joe had. He's just wanting to find his family or someone to love him. He's a little bit hard of hearing. and is fairly a quiet guy. He had a few teeth pulled during his dental, so now he has the cutest grin with a gap in his front teeth. He loves to follow you everywhere. We are looking for a home where he won't be alone for long days. He's a senior, and he's hoping another senior will love him. He would love to have another friendly dog to hang out with! He loves to play with other playful dogs. I feel sorry for him as my dogs won't play with him, but he keeps trying. He has the cutest doggie bow. He loves to do zoomies when you come home. He must not have been allowed on furniture, as the poor baby only gets on a chair when you're not home. He prefers to sleep on his doggie bed in the room with you. He even has a calming snore that I adore! He likes people who visit. He really loves being indoors and the air conditioning. He's a very low key boy, and easy to care for. He doesn't like crates. He's small for an Eskie, so maybe a bit of Pom in him, and a beautiful blond color. Easy to pick up! I will update more as I get to know him. For questions, you can email foster mom at katana653@aol.com.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
