Hi, Nick here!

Check out how incredibly handsome I am!  I just came from the groomer, and I have to admit.....I sure do clean up well! You'd never guess I was a senior boy, would you?  Well, they say you're only as old as you feel......and I feel pretty young!

So, you read "senior boy" and you're ready to move right on past me, aren't you?  You'd be making a big mistake......senior Eskies are wonderful companions.  And Eskie Rescuers has this terrific "Seniors for Seniors" adoption program, where my adoption fee is reduced by 50% if you're a senior too!  It's a win/win!

I really like hanging out with someone all day long and preferably being right under your feet.  And if you enjoy an afternoon nap, I'll be right there with you.  I was used to a fairly calm and sedentary lifestyle with my previous owner, but now I love going for walks and I especially enjoy being outside in the backyard, soaking up the sun.  My foster mommy says I am quite energetic now!  I love attention, being brushed, and a belly rub is my very favorite thing in the whole world.......well, belly rubs AND treats!  If you're not paying enough attention to me, I'll put my front paws on your lap to remind you "I'm right here!" for you to give me some cuddling and affection.

I'm not much of a barker, and I walk well on a leash.  I'm in very good health and being maintained with a controlled diet, exercise, and plenty of fresh water.  I am such a VERY good boy and I sure wish I had my very own forever home.  I have so much love to give and I would be a wonderful companion, particularly for an older or retired person or couple.

I hope you are interested in finding out more about me and maybe even meeting me!  I can't wait to meet you!  Please go to www.eskierescuers.org to read about the adoption process, the Seniors for Seniors program, and to complete the online adoption application.  Woof, woof!

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
