Jimmy
We lost our Little Jimmy yesterday. He was a strong boy but lung cancer is a tough one. Thank you Eskie Rescuers for sending him to us! We loved him and will miss him dearly!.......Mary Jo Rotili Brenner, September 2, 2018

Maxx
ERU asked me to foster a senior male because his mom had died suddenly in February, 2017. I agreed and Maxx came to live with my pack. He was a beautiful, quiet, gentle boy and I couldn't bear the thought of him having to adjust to another home, so I adopted him and his sister Jazmine. All was going well until October, when Maxx started having seizures every 4 hours. We were able to control them but he declined physically until he couldn't walk. RIP sweet Maxx. ‘Til we meet again.......May 21, 2003 - July 26, 2018, Jane Roberts

Cynda
A sad morning today. Last night our little foster girl, CYNDA of FL, lost the battle raging against her tiny body. Cynda was pulled from a local shelter as “rescue only”. She was found as a stray.....blind, filled with mammary tumors, and just in case that wasn’t enough, heartworm positive to top it off. Who does this to their dog and then dumps them on the street to die? She has had 8 amazing months in her foster home, filled with love and the very best and most caring attention. Tango (on the right) is watching over his best girlfriend. And the truly wonderful news in this sad update is that precious Cynda-rella Barker was ADOPTED over the weekend and found her forever home. Her forever mommy and daddy held her tightly in their arms during her last days and minutes. RIP sweet Cynda, run free and wild again. You were truly loved beyond measure and will be missed.......Denise and Mark Barker, July 15, 2018

Snowball
Today we said goodbye to our Snowball. He was our first rescue dog from Eskie Rescuers United and our gateway into fostering. He taught us a lot about fear aggression and what Joe and I were capable of handling. It was a long road paved with more than a few scars but unlike his previous owners, we never gave up on him. He eventually settled down and became the sweet guy we always knew he could be. He was with us for 11 years before kidney disease finally took him from us at the age of 17. I'm exhausted and don't have it in me to write more but something tells me that Joe Petrochko will have the extended version........Cheryl Petrochko, April 25, 2018

Pearl
Sweet, sweet, gentle Pearl. She came to us from a shelter in Las Vegas where she was a stray and possibly hit by a car. Her xray's did not show any broken bones, so she was given pain medicine and prescribed lots of rest for possible soft tissue injury. Her teeth were badly neglected and most had to be pulled. Her bloodwork indicated she was quite healthy. She was spayed and a small mammary tumor was removed. After recovering from her dental, a nasal fistula was noticed, and she underwent surgery to have it repaired. She had some possible nerve damage from this repair and the vets tried to manage her pain until the nerve could heal. Very sadly, Pearl was in constant pain and her little body began to shut down. We could not let her continue to suffer, and helped her across the bridge where she in now running pain free with the angels.........Eskie Rescuers United, April 16, 2018
