Charlie
My wonderful dog Charlie died today after being bitten twice by a rattlesnake yesterday. I took him to the vet right after it happened and they gave him antivenom, but he died overnight. The rattlesnake was in my yard and 3 of my Eskies were barking at it when I got home. Charlie was the sweetest of all my dogs. He gave hugs and slept curled up next to me. Nick
Little Nick was pulled to safety from a kill shelter in the "nick" of time. He enjoyed love and comfort in his foster home for the last year of his life, but he earned his angel wings and flew away from us today. Run free and wild at the bridge, sweet boy.......Beth Voss, January 11, 2018

Nicholas
Nick of FL was an owner surrender at 14 years of age, when his mommy had to leave her home for assisted living with another family member. Sadly, the welcome mat was not extended to him, too. He was adopted by a man looking for a companion and best friend, and though they only had a year together, it was one of love and great care. Nick died peacefully at home from pneumonia, sleeping outside on the patio, looking out at the yard and trees.....his favorite place. Sarah
Cindy/Sarah...... She was a stray in New Mexico last year. When I saw what a sweetheart she was, I named her Cindy, after my very own Cindy Hamilton Chapman. As soon as Jim Schulz saw her he was an instant transport failure, an ERU first! He renamed her after his very dear friend Sarah and she had him wrapped around her little paw ! He hand fed her and loved her like no other. Up until she wiggled into his heart, Jim was a self proclaimed big dog kinda guy. Well, as you can see by the look in their eyes, this was a love story only found in rescue, but one that will never fade.
