Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Remy! I'm an 8-year old female, mostly American Eskimo in breed, but with a little mix in there also (notice my floppy ears?). I weigh 20 pounds. My family had to give me up because they're expecting a new baby soon, and I'm not very good with young children, though I'm as sweet as can be in every other way! I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm also housebroken and crate-trained. I'm in PERFECT health; in fact, I'm practically perfect in every way. Mary Poppins, step aside! :o) I'm really smart--I know about 20 commands! However, I need to be in a home with a calmer environment, as opposed to one with noisy, rambunctious young kids. I do just fine with older children who can appreciate me. I'm a real love bug who loves to snuggle and be near my people. To show you how much I love you, I'll even greet you with my Eskie version of yodeling when you come home! I?m very sweet and would love to have the chance to show you just how sweet! Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a wonderful new life? I know I?m waiting for my new forever family?might you be that SPECIAL person I'm looking for? As you can see I'm just as adorable as can be! It certainly would be awesome to be in my new home in time for the holidays. :o) If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: judy@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me. There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I?m being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Mooresville, NC with my foster mommy, Judy. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I?m not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Remy!
