Update: My foster-mommy has been on vacation from work and we have been spending lots of time together. I have met many new people and have been a very good girl. I have not had a single accident and I am diaper-free! My foster-mommy is very proud of me. I have my confidence back and I am ready for my forever home.

Hi everyone! I'm back! My foster-mommy wanted to spend some extra time with me before making me available for adoption. She says I am a very precious eskie girl and she wants to make sure I go to the best home for me, however long it takes. I am a very gentle and loving girl. I am very eager to obey and I want to do the right thing. I was a little confused at first, being in a new environment, and I piddled and cowered sometimes when my foster-mommy approached me. But now I know she cares about me and would never hurt me so that rarely happens anymore. I still have trouble holding my bladder when it is full and I get excited, like when my foster-mommy comes home from work. My foster-mommy puts a diaper on me before she leaves for work so there is no mess. When she is home on the weekends I don't have a problem because I get to be with her all day. That is why it would be wonderful if I could go to a home where one of the family members is at home most of the time. One other thing you should know about me, I do get queezy in the car. I would be happy not to travel in the car too often. I am great with other dogs and cats. My foster-mommy walks me off-leash when we go on our daily walk through the woods - I stay right by her the entire time. If you are willing to give me a chance I think you'll agree that I am a wonderful eskie girl who will make a wonderful friend and companion.

If you would like more information on me please e-mail my foster-mommy, Heidi, @ hortmeye@gmail.com

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
