Meet Roscoe! This young boy needs a home with patience. He is super sweet and loving with his family. He loves to give kisses. He loves to rough house with our son and get love from our daughters. Roscoe has received some obedience training but was not socialized enough or early. He is fine is his home. If strangers come in he will bark but then will sniff them and be ok. When we are outside or in an unfamiliar place he is super clingy and will have accidents. He has not been groomed by a professional as he doesn’t let them touch him so I groom him myself. He has anxiety pills that he takes if he is going to the vet or another stressful situation. He also will submissive pee when he is scolded or he is scared. This has also been happening now when he is excited or before he gets outside to go to the bathroom. Roscoe would be great with an owner who has lots of love and patience to give him. He needs help with socialization and bathroom habits. He is great with his kids and loves to catch a ball. Eskimos do not do well in shelters and with me bing honest with shelters they are hesitant to take him as he could be euthanized if he starts to decline. He is purebred American Eskimo. A bit overweight and up to date with all vaccinations. Looking

Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
