**Update** Moonie was at a temporary foster home for a week, where he loved taking long walks. When he returned to his permanent foster home, he ran in circles with his Eskie girlfriend and was so excited to see his other foster buddies. He would do well with other female companions, though he's also fine being a single dog in the home. He's unknown with cats and other critters. He’s estimated to be 6 years old. Unlike typical American Eskimo dogs, he doesn’t need to be at your side every single minute, and is fine taking a nap or hanging out in his crate until it’s dinner- or walk-time. Moonie was a stray and is a bit wary so he wasn’t getting much attention at the shelter. He needs a while to “warm up” to his new friends. Just give him some guidance, show him a little affection, and you’ll have a buddy to lick your hand in gratitude for years to come! Everyone who meets him says how gentle he is. Moonie has enjoyed learning new tricks like “sit” and “shake,” as well as being a pro at using a dog-door to go outside. No accidents from this guy. More about Moonie in WAGood with Dogs Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Video of Moonie in WA:
