Meet Kiki. She is a sweet, freindly dog and is always happy to meet you. She was resuced from a shelter and was severly over weight and not very active. Her teeth were rotting and all had to be removed. Since her rescue, Kiki has had her dental issue fixed and has lost just over 18 lbs.  She now has a lot more energy.  Please note that Kiki does not have to have a "special food" or a all soft food diet.  She is currently being feed Fromm (http://frommfamily.com/products/four-star/dog/dry/#beef-frittata-veg). The kibble is small enough for Kiki to just swallow.

Kiki loves the outdoors and enjoys walks of 3-4 miles, chasing the squirles up a tree and generally running about, in fact there are several times she likes to just go out side to sit. She would really enjoy a fenced in yard to run around in to burn off some of her new found energy.

While not much of a lap dog, Kiki will lay at your feet and follow you around the house. She likes to be brushed, groomed and play in the water. She enjoys car rides and anyone that will pet her. Kiki will be the first to admit that she has not had much training, but is learning things really fast. She is not bothered by cats or other dogs, but can be a bit territorial and will take their toys as soon as they are dropped.

Kiki is in very good health now that her teeth and mouth have been taken care of. She will make anyone a very nice pet and walking companion. Hopefully, you will give her a chance.

Update: Kiki just had a small Tumor removed from her right side and all is well and has been given a clean bill of health.  She is a wonderful walking companion and very good at chasing the rabbits and squirells out of the yard or up the tree.  She is always eager to meet new people and wags her tail with enthusiasm.  Please consider adopting her, she is a wonderful gal.

Please fill out an application for Kiki so she can be a part of your family or you can email the foster parents at ssneurauter@yahoo.com for more information.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
